Pre-Drywall Inspections in the Triangle

Building a home? Arrange an independent inspection while framing and other components remain visible. The right timing matters: contact Legacy before the builder’s pre-drywall walkthrough.

Schedule an Inspection

When to schedule

Ask your builder for the expected pre-drywall walkthrough and drywall installation dates. Contact us with the address and construction schedule so we can confirm readiness and access. If the schedule changes, let us know promptly. The opportunity to inspect exposed work narrows once insulation and finishes are installed.

What the visit is for

We review accessible construction within the agreed inspection scope and document observed concerns. The stage of completion determines what is visible and what can be evaluated. This visit does not replace the builder’s quality controls, municipal inspections, or engineering services. Confirm any specific questions about plans or concealed work before booking.

Make the report useful

Share the findings with your builder while there is still time to discuss them before the next construction stage. Photos and explanations help you identify the locations and concerns being discussed. Keep the report and any builder responses with your home records. Ask us to clarify anything you do not understand.

Plan the final inspection too

A pre-drywall visit and a final new-construction inspection take place at different stages. Finished systems and components may not be ready to operate at the earlier visit. Schedule the completed-home inspection before your orientation appointment and allow time for follow-up.

Common questions

What should I select in the scheduler?

Choose “New Construction - Pre-Drywall Inspection.” Have the property address and builder’s timing ready.

Can you inspect after drywall is installed?

Contact us to discuss the current construction stage. Installed finishes limit visibility; a later inspection cannot recreate the access available before drywall.

Do you provide a report?

Yes. Review our sample-report page, including the pre-drywall example, to become familiar with the format.
